How do I buy a Phonecard?

On our website, visit our Country list page and click on the link next to your country.

On your Country page look at the rates. We provide full information on fees if any so that you get no nasty surprises.

Select the card you wish to buy by clicking on ‘Buy Now’. This will take you to the Product page for the relevant phonecard.

On the the Product Details page click on ‘Add to Basket’ to add the phonecard to your Shopping cart and pay securely via SagePay. It is that easy!

Phone cards can be ordered online on our website 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

How do I use my phonecard?

To make your call, please follow these steps:

  1. Dial the access number of your phone card (found in the Card Information of your phonecard page).
  2. Listen to the instructions.
  3. Enter the PIN number.
  4. Dial the destination number.

For all International calls, dial 00 + Country Code + City Code + Number.

How do I choose the best phonecard for my destination?

To find the best phonecard for you, select your country. The recommended cards for your country will be displayed. Details of rates and fees for all phonecards to that destination will be displayed. Choose the best rate for your destination and buy that card. Remember to check the card details where we provide all information on whether any connection or maintenance fees apply. (N.B. The majority of our cards have no connection or maintenance fees)

Can I safely enter my credit card number on your website?

Please note that we do not store your credit or debit card details on or off our website.

We at callingcardsdirect.co.uk take security and the confidentiality of our customer’s personal information very seriously. All online transactions are handled with the highest level of security. We incorporate SSL (Security Socket Layer) into our website and employ the latest encryption technology to prevent our members’ information from being intercepted. Also, we do not store your credit card information.

We use SagePay as our payment gateway provider, providing exceptional security with 3-D secure card protection, using the latest anti fraud systems to enable you to have peace of mind when shopping with us.

How long will it take to receive my phonecard once I've paid?

For existing verified customers, as soon as your card payment has been authorized and cleared by our Bank, we will email you your phone card PIN number. Normally this happens instantly but occasionally may take slightly longer.

For first time purchases, we carry out anti fraud checks to ensure that the order is genuine. Please note that the checks by our payment gateway providers may take up to 24 hours, but usually happens within a much shorter time period. Once your card purchase has been confirmed as genuine and cleared by our security checks and the customer is verified, for future purchases your PIN will be emailed to you immediately, often arriving in customers email accounts within 30 seconds!

Please email us if you feel that there has been an undue delay in your PIN arriving.

Why has the email with my PIN number not arrived?

Please check that you have given us the correct email address to receive the email message.

You may confirm this by attempting to log into your account by the email address that you used to register with us.

If you have supplied a HOTMAIL, YAHOO or GMAIL address, there are occasions when your email may be placed in your Junk (Spam) email folder. If you have not received your email containing your PIN within a few minutes, please check your Junk (Spam) email folder as your first port of call.

If you cannot find the PIN email in your Junk (spam) email folder, please log into your account on the callingcardsdirect.co.uk website to the “My Account” page and you will be able to view your PIN there.

If all else fails, email us and we will resend your PIN email.

For first time purchases, the PIN will not be sent instantly on the first occasion only that you purchase while we carry out anti fraud checks to ensure that the order is genuine.

This is for the protection of all electronic payment card holders who may be victims of unauthorized use of their cards online. Security checks may take up to 24 hours to complete, but normally take less than an hour and could take as little as 5 minutes.

Once your card purchase has been confirmed as genuine and cleared by our security checks and the customer is verified, for future purchases your PIN will be emailed to you immediately, often arriving in customers email accounts within 30 seconds!

How many minutes will I receive on my phonecard?

The number of minutes available is determined based on the rate to the country you are calling.

Each time you use your calling card to place a call, the number of minutes available for your call will be announced to you before the call connects. Please bear in mind that minutes to call destinations may be changed by the phonecard provider at any time.

We endeavor to keep this information up to date, but there may occasionally be a delay while our systems are updated. We try to keep the rate update delays to as short a time as possible to avoid your inconvenience.

Where can I find Information on card fees and rates?

Every phone card offered on our website has a Card Information section that includes information on all fees, charges, rates and other terms and conditions for that card. Please note that rates and fees are subject to change without notice by the phonecard provider.

Is there a charge for using the phonecard from a pay phone?

Yes, there is an additional per call charge for using a card from a payphone. Please see a card’s Card Information section for the exact amount of the charge and other information.

When do the phonecards expire?

Each card has an expiration policy that can be found on the card’s Card Information section. Our £5 cards have a 60 day expiry, £10 cards have a 90 day expiry and £20 cards have a 180 day expiry.

How do I contact customer services?

First of all, please be sure to have your order number, PIN number and card serial number available when contacting Customer Services.

What is your refunds policy?

We will make refunds only where no call credit has been used up from a phonecard, the phonecard does not work correctly and we are unable to correct the fault within 24 hours. Please contact Customer Services (via the number found in the Card Information section of your phonecard page) for technical issues with phonecards or email us at support[at]callingcardsdirect.co.uk with your queries and issues.

What if I have a problem using my phonecard?

If you have a problem with a phone card access number, experience quality problems, or are unable to use your phone card, please call your card’s Customer Service number (included in the phonecard page’s Card Information section). Please be sure to have your PIN number and serial number available when calling Customer Services.
